The process has been and continues to unfold through repeated aggressive communications. I am reflecting on what has brought this unfolding of power play to the forefront for project Equal Arts, EU between Italy and Spain.
Inequality kills art and art burns in the face of Racism 2024-2026 (Equal Arts)
What is so important that one is driven by Social Identity Theory, where by individuals derive self-worth from group membership. We are one group and you are another group and so that elevating themself requires diminishing another group in the process of development. We can lead but you must follow!!!
Equal Arts has become a “normalised Inequality”, making the “Unjust Feel Natural” despite a desire to create a small scale European Union project which addresses the lack of support for “Women of Colour and Marginalised groups” working in the performing arts, Spain.
Leading this project as a Black Women has brought to the forefront a dangerous psychological phenomenon. Discrimination is normalised and the Equal Arts partnership is a symbolic violence of systemic views embedded in the history, experience and education.
