Harriet Macauley, ES/UK international with Fundacion Espacio Creativo (FEC) is an NGO based in Panama, created in 2014 with the purpose of providing opportunities through dance education and culture. Its two main programs are a social program that seeks to transform the lives of children and adolescents in vulnerable situations through the practice of contemporary dance, the strengthening of their academic development and psychosocial and family support, developing skills that allow them to improve their quality of life and grow as agents of change and responsible citizens. The professional development program which focuses on continuing education for local artists and the creation of new and innovative dance productions.

Multimedia Project Sandbox is a new initiative of Fundación Espacio Creativo created in collaboration with BID Lab as a workspace and platform with the purpose of integrating technology and performing arts through training, interdisciplinary experimentation and innovation. The scope of the project aims to sophisticate the local dance scene through the use of technology and also to increase opportunities for productive inclusion within the Creative and Cultural Industries for at-risk youth using training cycles in 21st century skills and technical abilities.
