I am not a house cleaner waiting for the dominance of a caucasian man to justify my talent, beauty, self love, creativity and all the gifts given by the gods. I am a black women with a voice of curiosity, an archive of multiple talents, a entrepreneur, ready and willing to take the narrow road, and to explode into creative acts in this life time!

The existence of Equal Arts for Black Women does not exist in Barcelona, Spain. Managers, Directors and Leaders lack basic ABC… education on a recognisable tidal wave on the discussion of equality which has been here for decades…its not new. You are leaders only out of self-selection, not natural selection, caucasian men and women supporting more whiteness! If you mention Race, Black or Colour the immediate response is what about us? We have no money!?? What about the others?
Project Equal Arts (no equality within the activity) is a project which clearly demonstrates individuals, who are deep seated, unconscious, representations of Inequality representing itself in different, yet intersecting forms, in all aspects of what drives prejudice, and functions in their European (village) society.
As I sat on the other side of the screen in a Equal Arts regular meeting I was pulled into the narrowness of another white female voice, drilling into the subject of transparency, playing detective because I am the leader, a Black Women who you have to trust! Its Equal Arts Association InDance International, Spain.
Challenging and upholding Inequality directly within an activity designed for Equality is the most toxic experience I have had in the entirety of my career. Questions are unfolding in multiple forms…and yet we keep going…..in the hope of uncovering some value.
Join us online to discuss the definition of Inequality and Equality in the performing arts. Visit www.equalarts.eu from 14th April 2026.
