Week One: Belgrade, South East Europe May 2023 My need to return to Belgrade has no reasoning, other than been drawn to the resonance of its history, the exploring of dance rituals, gypsies, witches, travellers and narratives of mythology. Serbia, her being one of the oldest cities in Europe, with a connection that dates back to at least 7000 BC, is mystical, and is trickling with mischievous human activity.
Time in Belgrade has brought me to believe there is no Wall between Magic and Reality. Magic continues to exist, and yet is hidden in spaces and places inconceivable to those who are not drawn into its timeless light and power for understanding. Harriet Macauley the year 2023.
